Techman Robot unveils humanoid prototype, aims for 2026 launch

Techman Robot, a maker of collaborative robotic arms and a subsidiary of Taiwan’s Quanta Computer, has unveiled its first humanoid robot prototype, the TM Xplore I, and plans to bring it to market in 2026.

The robot was introduced last week at the Taipei Automation Intelligence and Robot Show, where the company described it as a “next-generation humanoid platform” designed for industrial and service applications.

Unlike bipedal humanoids being developed by companies such as Tesla and Unitree, Techman’s robot uses a wheeled base for stability and efficiency in factory and warehouse environments.

According to coverage by Digitimes, the TM Xplore I features more than 22 actuated joints and integrates Nvidia’s Jetson Orin platform for AI-driven vision and on-device processing.

The company says the robot is currently undergoing internal testing, with wider deployment planned once mass production is under way.

Emad Suhail Rahim, Techman’s co-founder and chief strategy officer, said the company’s goal is to create humanoids that can perform practical tasks at sustainable cost, describing TM Xplore I as a stepping stone toward “autonomous, vision-powered assistance” in smart factories.

Techman confirmed that if development proceeds as expected, commercial rollout will begin in the second half of 2026.

The company has not issued a formal press release, but has teased the robot in social media posts (see main image and above) under the tagline: “Your first look at TM Xplore I – Techman Robot’s first humanoid robot with built-in AI Vision on Nvidia Jetson Orin.”

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Taiwan, Techman is best known as a major supplier of collaborative robots (cobots) and automation systems.

Its entry into the humanoid field places it among a growing number of robotics companies seeking to commercialize humanoid platforms for logistics, manufacturing, and consumer-facing roles.
