I received a power tool as a gift from a friend with an included gift receipt from Home Depot. I went to Home Depot to return the tool and receive a store credit because it used the wrong type of battery system. They refunded the amount to my friend's credit card, telling me that was the only option. They couldn't issue a store credit. Then why have a gift receipt? So much for doing it on the down low.

For my shoplifters out there

If you go to a store that uses combination locks on their cases, find out what the store number is. Usually the combination will be the store number or the store number backwards. Home Depot is notorious for this.

Save for What You Want and get the exact date you can buy it

With Savematic you can set goals for stuff you want and it will calculate the dates when you can afford the items. How it works is you add products either manually or with extensions that will auto import the price, image, and title. Then you add your income and expenses then it will calculate your dates . Theres two modes, waterfall which is you save for each product one at the time. And you can choose split mode which splits your pay off order with different amounts for each product. Also if you have the extension you can automatically update the prices to keep them updated. Just know it doesn’t work for manual added items. And get price drops and increases notifications and out of.

What to expect as a delivery driver?

Hello all, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what it might be like to be a delivery driver for O'Reilly's. I guess there is like a hub and also a non hub type of position. I haven't applied or communicated a hourly wage, but I've read online in some places I might be able to make 20/hr in Houston, Texas, which is around what I need. I guess I'd have to figure the exact salary part out deeper in an interview process. I'm kind of average in knowledge of cars. I've had a lot of things go wrong with the cars I own, but I'm not a car guru. I definitely think delivering the parts over time would help me learn bits and pieces slowly. I just che.

What is the reason for why in SOME straight couples, the woman adopts child-like behavioral traits?

In SOME (once again stressing that this is not all couples) straight relationships, the girlfriend will tend to talk or act in a child-like manner. If you've seen things like the whole blue store/pink store or baby-talk/similar trends, you know what I mean. Basically a woman will post a video like "I behave well in the big boy store (usually Home Depot or something) so he can buy me treats after" or a video of her drawing in a coloring book while her bf does his "big boy job" (these are direct quotes from the videos, not my words) or something similar. I never noticed it in my relationship until seeing all these videos. Now I see it clearly in my own girlfriend. For.

DIY Chinchilla wheeel

I came across a post regarding a DIY wheel and decided to give it a try. I just set it up, so my chinchilla hasn't had enough time to try it out. I wanted to share my results. The green thing is called a Pillow Block Bearing - Square Flange Mounted Pillow Bearing - Bearing Steel Bearing with 1/2" Bore. I got it off Amazon after not being able to find it in local hardware stores. The bigger bolt in the middle of the block, going through the pan, is a HEX bolt 1/2 x 3 (BJE). The four other bolts are HEX bolts 3/8 x 1-1/2 (AME). The washer on the bigger bolt is 1/2 (ASD). The smaller bolt washers are 3/8 (ALC). Jam nut 3/8 in -16. Pan from Tractor Supply. Hardware from Home Depot.. .

Any hidden gem garden stores (or other spots!) to get large inexpensive planters?

I am trying to build up a container garden and looking for some really larger deep containers to plant things in, I'd like to avoid Lowe's/Home Depot and wondering if there are any good spots to get big planters (or things that could be used as planters) for relatively cheap?

Homeowners card (non mortgage) - cash back/no AF or low AF

Have other cards, but I got the VX for general catch all essentially 2% and Amazon Prime 5% (gift cards) which I use for my random categories of \- Home Furniture (IKEA) \- Home Appliances/Tech - Best Buy \- Home Improvements (Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's) \- General Hardware (Ace and Harbor Freight) I do get some gift cards on the lower end spend (think less than $100). But wondering what card could I get if I have a bigger spend ($500+). US Bank Shopper Card is very attractive, has most retailers on my list, but I don't think I can easily offset the AF, considering I already got the catch all card, and it is not a consistent spend. (6% becomes 4% with "lost .

For all the Lowes Haters

for all the associates who **** this company for a myriad of reasons, stay poor and forever a reddit complainer and looser. For those who wish to make this a career you can here is an example of a part time cashier that started in Home Depot, will you get to her level? probably not but you can definitely make management easy in this company and make decent money and a good retirement ***--Ann-Marie Campbell is a Jamaican-American business executive. Since January 2016, she has been the executive vice president of U.S. stores for The Home Depot. She began working at Home Depot in 1985 as a part-time cashier during college and rose to her current position--***

Where is the best place to buy appliances in SD? Costco vs Best Buy vs Home Depot vs Lowe’s vs local appliance shops?

It looks like prices are mostly the same, but what differs is: warranties, installation costs, delivery costs, installation kit costs, etc. Also sounds like most stores out source delivery and installation and some of those companies are horrible to deal with. Any success or horror stories to share? Specifically looking to purchase a washer dryer and don’t have anyone nearby to ask for a second opinion.

Battery won't work. Again

Second open box item that I get at a discount with a 2 Ah battery from home Depot. both types the battery is faulty. I'm wondering why since I never had a faulty battery. Is this a scam that people are doing and they're returning a bad battery? Not a big issue for me because like I did with my first one. I file a warranty claim since I have the receipt from Home Depot. I'm just wondering if there's more to this that I'm missing

Would there be any issue with starting a wall with bigger 6” blocks on bottom row and using smaller 4” blocks on top.

Lowe's vs Home Depot - what do you actually go to each one for? I've developed a very specific system

After years of going to both, I've landed on this division: Lowe's: Appliances (better selection and pricing in my area), paint (ProDesk staff at my store actually know their stuff), and anything where I want a cleaner, less chaotic shopping experience Home Depot: Lumber (better quality at my local store), power tools, anything where I need a contractor-grade option. Also their app's store inventory map is genuinely better I know this is completely location-dependent. The difference between a well-run Lowe's and a poorly-run one is enormous. What's your system? And is there anything one does significantly better than the other in your experience?

How do you charge clients for n8n + ChatGPT automation services?

Hi everyone, I'm building a **sales automation solution using n8n + ChatGPT** for retail businesses (tipe of to a Home Depot-style store). The goal is to automate repetitive conversations, generate preliminary quotes, detect intent, and then hand off to a human for the final step of the sale. One thing I'm trying to figure out is **how to properly pass the monthly infrastructure costs to the client**, specifically: * n8n hosting / server costs * ChatGPT API usage costs * Maintenance and small adjustments How do you usually structure this? Do you: * Include everything in a fixed monthly fee? * Separate infrastructure costs from your service fee? * Add a usage-based component f.

Assembly, Aftercare & Replacement Parts: The Forgotten Headaches of Imported Furniture

# ASSEMBLY HEADACHES: THE REALITY CHEC # 1.1 Missing or Wrong Hardware: The “Where’s My Bag of Bolts?” Nightmare * **How common?** Shockingly frequent. I’ve had a bed frame arrive with zero hardware. Reddit is full of stories: “No screws, no bolts, no hope. Had to guess sizes and hunt down metric replacements at three stores.” * **Why?** Packing errors, lost bags, or the supplier simply forgot. Sometimes you get the wrong type—cam locks instead of barrel nuts, or vice versa. * **How to avoid:** * Demand a detailed packing list with your order. * Ask for extra hardware bags (I always request 10% more). * Keep a universal hardware kit on hand. # 1.2 Incomprehens.

Matter Enabled LED Panels for Drop Ceiling

As my internet searches didn't turn up much, is anyone aware of any Matter enabled LED panels for a drop ceiling? While basic on/off behavior or dimming could be handled through a matter-enabled switch (which I have), that wouldn't allow me to make changes to the color temperature, if I choose to go down that path. The only "smart panel" of any sort I've found was from Home Depot's in store brand (Commercial Electric), and it did not appear to be Matter enabled.

What to do

What would you do? I’m kinda new to strawberries. Are these runners? I don’t have anything to plant them in if I did cut them off. The lady at plant store said she’d leave it be and I’ll prob see strawberries in a month but I see no flowers on it yet!? Should I pinch all those off so that I can get berries since most nutrients are probably supporting all the runners?! I got them all untangled but don’t wanna mess it up! I have one successful strawberry plant from Home Depot with no runners so never dealt with this. This one is from a plant nursery.
